Picnic Shelter at S. 128th Street and Des Moines Memorial Dr. S.

North SeaTac Park is one of the largest open green spaces in South King County. It should not be zoned Aviation Commercial or be at risk of commercial development for airport expansion. Gather to celebrate our beautiful 200+ acre park. Share cake, join in song and other activities, send a postcard to a Port of Seattle Commissioner. Put a wish on the wish tree!

Along with other restoration programs in the park, this work is key to preserving healthy forests here. And healthy forests may help protect against future commercial development by the Port of Seattle, which owns the park’s 200 acres and has demonstrated intent to replace many of its trees with commercial structures.

Restoration work needs to be scaled up to the severity of the invasive weed threat in this park and conducted according to a comprehensive plan that is professional administered and adequately funded. This community deserves no less. Register for an upcoming event at https://seatac.greencitypartnerships.org.
